How Labbaik knows who’s messaging
Section titled “How Labbaik knows who’s messaging”Labbaik recognises people by the phone number they message from. Nobody has to sign up.
| Who | How they’re recognised |
|---|---|
| Parents | Their number matches a phone number on their child’s record: the WhatsApp number, mobile, mother’s mobile, home or extra phone. |
| Admins and teachers | They’ve been given WhatsApp access. See Turn on WhatsApp for staff. |
| Anyone else | They get a friendly reply and the Labbaik team picks up the conversation. |
What people can and can’t see
Section titled “What people can and can’t see”- Parents only ever see their own children. Ask about anyone else, and Labbaik says it can’t find that child.
- Teachers see only their own classes. Fees and contact details stay hidden unless you’ve given them that permission.
- Admins see everything in your organisation, and nothing from any other.
- Before Labbaik changes anything, such as logging a payment or approving an application, it shows what it’s about to do and waits for a yes.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Replies are in English.
- Labbaik can’t change register marks over WhatsApp. Do that in the app.
- Voice notes work: send one with no caption, and Labbaik listens and replies as if it had been typed.
