Messages Labbaik sends
Labbaik sends some messages on WhatsApp for you, in your organisation’s name. They’re short and to the point, and most come with a button that takes the reader straight to the right page.
Report ready
Section titled “Report ready”When you publish student reports, you can choose to tell families on WhatsApp. They get a message saying the report is in the parent portal, with a Read the report button.
Attendance update
Section titled “Attendance update”When a student’s attendance for the term falls below the expected level, you can send their family an update. The family can reply to report an absence, or tap Report an absence. Reported absences go to the teacher and don’t count against attendance.
These aren’t sent automatically. You choose who gets one from the Monthly recap on Home: choose Action all, then Confirm and send. Each family gets at most one every 28 days.
Payment messages
Section titled “Payment messages”Once your organisation is connected to Stripe, Labbaik sends families:
- Payment links: to set up monthly or termly fees when you send them, with a Set up payment button.
- Payment received: a thank-you and receipt, including a welcome for new students.
- Payment failed: when a card or Direct Debit payment doesn’t go through, with an Update payment details button.
- Final notice: if it still fails after several attempts, the family is told the date the payment plan will be cancelled unless they update their details.
The WhatsApp billing alerts line on Account → Stripe shows whether these are on. They switch on by themselves once Stripe can take payments.
Nikah applicants get similar messages for the Nikah fee: a request, a reminder and a receipt.
For staff
Section titled “For staff”- Welcome: a new admin gets a welcome message, so they can save the number and start asking questions.

- Sign-in codes: for parents who sign in with WhatsApp.
Stopping messages
Section titled “Stopping messages”A family can reply STOP to any of these messages to stop them. Labbaik then won’t send them payment, attendance or report messages on WhatsApp. They’ll still get anything you send by email or through the portal.
