Moving class, more than one class, and student statuses

  1. Open the student’s passport and go to Classes (or Progress, if they’re only in one class).

  2. On their class, choose Move class.

  3. Pick the class or group they’re moving To.

  4. Choose whether to Keep current Ustadh or Switch to destination’s default, and add a reason if you like.

  5. Choose Move.

They keep their original start date, so their attendance history stays complete. Their fees don’t change.

Teachers can move students too, from the student’s card on the register (Move) or the progress sheet (Move class), if you’ve given them the Move group permission. Admins and head teachers always can.

A student can be in several classes, such as a weekday Qur’an class and a weekend Hifz class. They appear on both registers.

  • Add a class: on their passport, go to Classes and choose Add class.
  • Remove a class: choose Remove on that class. If they paid for it separately, Labbaik offers a refund for that class.

Their passport then has one Classes tab showing each class’s progress and register.

A student appears on a class register from the later of:

  • the date they joined that class, and
  • their start date (When did they start?).

Adding a student to a second class counts from today. If their registers start too early or too late, which shows up as days marked Partly marked, see Troubleshooting. Changing the start date later doesn’t move the date they joined a class, so contact us if a register needs correcting.

The Students page has a tab for each group:

Tab Who’s in it
Active Enrolled and attending.
Pending & paused Approved but waiting for their first payment, on a waiting list, or paused. Only shown when there’s someone in it.
Left Students you’ve marked as left. Their history is kept.
All Everyone.
Families Brothers and sisters grouped into families, once you have at least one. See family passports.
  • Approve an application: the student becomes waiting for payment, or Active straight away if the class is free.
  • First payment made: Active.
  • Mark as left: Left. Their card payments stop, and you can refund them.
  • Restore (on a left student’s passport): pick a class and they’re Active again. If there’s an admission fee, Labbaik sends the family a new payment link; otherwise it emails them to confirm. Check their Billing tab afterwards to make sure their monthly payment is set up.
  • Families who never paid can be archived from Applications → Payment, and restored later.
