Direct Debit for monthly fees

Direct Debit means fewer failed payments from expired cards, and lower fees than card payments for many families.

Note

You need Stripe connected first. Direct Debit is for monthly class fees only. Termly and one-off fees, and donations, are still paid by card.

Turn it on

1. Go to Account → Stripe and find How parents pay class fees.

2. Choose one:

   • Card: card, Apple Pay and Google Pay only.
   • Card + Direct Debit: families choose either.
   • Direct Debit only

3. Choose Turn on.

4. If Stripe needs more details first, choose Finish in Stripe, complete the form, and come back.

What families see

Direct Debit is offered on the payment links you send for monthly fees. Families enter their sort code and account number, and Stripe sets up the mandate. The first payment takes about 3 working days to clear.

Families already paying by card stay on card. They don’t need to do anything.
